Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Assist Health Technologies LLC ("Assist Health," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with assisthealth.tech (the "Site").
1. Scope of this policy
This policy covers this marketing website only. It does not govern the NephroAssist or AssistSuite applications, or any other service we provide to a customer practice. Those are governed by the written agreement with that customer and, where we handle protected health information on their behalf, by a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) under HIPAA.
Nothing on this Site creates a Business Associate relationship, and submitting information through this Site does not make us your business associate.
2. Do not send us PHI through this Site
The Site is not an appropriate or secure channel for protected health information (PHI), and we ask you not to include it in the contact form or in email to us. If you need to share PHI with us, contact us first and we will arrange an appropriate, compliant channel under a BAA.
If you send us PHI anyway, we will handle it with the confidentiality it deserves, but you should treat any such transmission as one you did not intend to make, and you should tell us so we can address it.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
If you use the contact form, we collect the name, organization, email address, and message you provide. Providing this is voluntary, and you choose what to put in the message field.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard technical information as a necessary part of delivering the Site securely, including IP address, browser type and version, referring page, and the date and time of the request. This is used for security, abuse prevention, and operational troubleshooting.
Analytics — only if you consent
We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used. It does not load, set cookies, or collect anything unless you affirmatively select "Accept" on our consent banner. If you select "Decline," or simply never accept, no analytics code is loaded at all and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to us.
We have deliberately built the Site so that no third-party request of any kind is made before you consent — including web fonts, which we host ourselves rather than loading from a third-party network.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We set no advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not use session-replay, keystroke-capture, or similar surveillance tooling on this Site.
We store your analytics consent choice in your browser's local storage so we do not have to ask you on every visit. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may then set its own cookies; declining prevents this entirely. You can change your choice at any time:
5. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about it.
- To operate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the Site.
- With your consent, to understand aggregate usage of the Site so we can improve it.
- To comply with law and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not use information submitted through this Site to train machine-learning models, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
6. How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as follows:
- Service providers. Vendors who operate the Site on our behalf — hosting and form delivery, email, and (only with your consent) analytics. They are permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us.
- Legal and safety. Where required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply to the information.
7. Retention
We keep contact-form submissions for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of the correspondence, and then delete or archive them in the ordinary course. Server logs are retained on our hosting provider's standard schedule. We do not retain personal information longer than we have a legitimate need for it.
8. Security
Security is central to what we build, and we apply the same discipline to this Site. The Site is served exclusively over HTTPS, and we maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — which is precisely why we ask you not to send PHI through this Site.
9. Your choices and rights
You may, at any time:
- Decline analytics, or withdraw consent you previously gave (see Section 4).
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you submitted through the contact form.
- Ask us to stop contacting you.
Depending on where you live — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA — you may have additional rights to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but we will honor these rights regardless of whether a particular law applies to you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
To make a request, email info@assisthealth.tech. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
10. Children
The Site is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party sites we do not control, including nephroassist.com. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not apply to them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a revised effective date at the top of this page, and where appropriate we will provide additional notice.
